"T-tasha... Tolong..."
Melur called out for Jane waking up the girl."Wei kauokaytak ni?"She jumped off her bed and ran toward Faneesha who was lifelessly held up by Melur."A-aku rasa macam nak pitam...Am I dying?..."Faneesha said before she threw up in her pail next to her."Dah teruk sangat ni. Mel,let's sent her to the infirmary."Melur nodded and they helped her to got off the bed before carrying the girl to the school infirmary. Jane threw on her hoodie to cover her hair while Melur already had her telekung on.As they arrived there, they saw the infirmary was full of sick peoples."Uish, apahal banyak sangat ni?"Jane asked as they placed Faneesha down on the waiting chair.
"Jane! Please help me take more painkillers from the storage!"Galena, the school nurse asked Jane as the nurse saw the girl from across the room. Jane nodded before running to the storage room. She ended up helping the nurse treating the sick students along with Melur. After that, she and Melur went back to their dorm to change into their school uniform. "Nahwalletkau, IC apa semua ada dalam tu."Fakhri told Ayam who was sitting on one of the chair while holding on his stomach."Mygodness, banyaknya yang nak ponteng hari ni."Mr Sin, one of KUDRAT's warden walked into the infirmary.
"Saya tak rasa kali ni diaorang ni olok-olok, cikgu. Ni bukan setakatinfirmarydah ni, kena pergi hospital terus."Nurse Galena told the warden."Alright, I'll call for the bus."He said before walking away. Jane walked in with a list in her hand. "Oi macam mana kau tak kena pun..."Faneesha asked the girl. Jane snickered at her."Aku dah cakap dah, jangan minum air tu banyak-banyak. Tapi tak, kau minum juga macam takde hari lain."Jane scolded the girl before she handed the girl her wallet and an opened water bottle."Tapi sedap kot..."Faneesha said as she drank some water. Jane just sighed at her.
"Honey, that's what exactly alcohol did to it consumer.Sedap memang sedapbut its deadly. Dah pergi beratur kat sana."Jane told her as she was Mr Sin walking in."Mr Sin, I have the name list."Jane said as she approach the warden. He nodded before leading the sick students inside the bus. While Jane was marking the name list, Kahar ran inside the infirmary with Hakeem on his back."Cikgu! Tolong dia, Cikgu!"He pleaded to Mr Sin. Hakeem was then brought into the bus."Pahal tu?"Jane asked the curly-haired boy."Tak tau. Dia tiba-tiba pengsan dalam tandas ta-"Kahar words were cut off by Fakhri who pushed him from behind as the two of them were in their was to their classes.
"Kau memang s*al!"Fakhri yelled at the elder boy."Fakhri ape benda ni?! Bertenanglah!"Jane held the boy from lashing out to kahar."Kau! Kau pun bersekongkol dengan jantan tak guna ni kan! Kau tau yang diaorang ni nakdrugkita tapi kau diam pahal?!"Fakhri pushed her back."Oi!Don't push her!Takgentlemans*al!"Kahar pushed the boy away from her."Korang tengoklah nanti! Aku hancurkan semua kuasa korang!"The boy walked away angrily. "Kahar, jangan sampai kantoi. Benci aku nakhandlebenda-benda s*al macam ni."Jane said before she walked into her class. Kahar sighed before climbing up the stairs to his classroom.
"Kahar, you're late."Puan Fanizah said as she turned to see the boy at the door."Sorry, teacher."He apologized."It's okay, just hand in your homework."He nodded before opening his messenger bag. His eyes widened as he saw all of his stuffs inside were drenched in the mad honey. Kahar carefully took out his exercise book and hand it to Puan Faniza."Kahar what is this?"Puan Faniza took the book slowly as she tried to cover up her disgusted expression."It's honey, teacher.Madu."Kahar explained as she sniffed the book."Thank god it's just a honey. Have a seat."Kahar nodded before going to his seat. Puan Fanizah entered 4 Diamond for her next class.
"Where's the half of the class?"She asked as she walked to the teacher's table with the previous class's books."MC, teacher."Naim said."What happened to you hand?"She asked while looking at the boy's bandaged up right hand."Jatuh masajungle trekking last night, teacher."Naim explained."And what happened to yours?"She turned to Fahkri wounded fist. The boy just shook his head."Why were you guys jungle trekking at night?Jane?"Puan Faniza suddenly asked the girl."Huh? Oh! It's one of the activity to um... enhances our other senses. We can't always relays on one of our senses right?"The girl smiled at the teacher. Puan Faniza nodded slowly before continuing with her lesson.
During recess, Mr Sin went to the dining hall and looked at the food that being served."Ye Cikgu, nak makan sini? Tengok pun dah tak selera kan?"Mia told the warden."Pagi tadi, apa yang budak-budak ni makan?"Mr Sin asked her."Mee goreng kapur, Cikgu."Mia answered him."Is there anything unusual in your recipe today? Because some students had been food poisoning with a drug called Grayanotoxin-"Mia cut him off angrily."Agak-agak lah cikgu! Tau lah saya ni rupa macam ni! Kalau saya nak racun budak-budak ni, dah lama mereka semua ni terbongkang kat sini."She threw the ladle down before leaving to the back.
Mr Sin shook his head before stopping his gaze to Kahar who was lining up since earlier. He bowed a little to Mr Sin as the warden walked away."Mr Sin! Is it true that half of the Form 4 had been admitted into the hospital?"Puan Faniza asked him as she walked toward him."You're right, Puan Faniza. They are all Form 4s." He said before leaving. From afar, Jane who was eating with the EXCOs had been watching everything. She made an eye contact with Kahar. She smiled as she shrugged her shoulders at the boy before continue enjoying her food.
Suddenly an announcement were made, calling all of the Form 4s to the assembly hall. "Half of your friends are in the hospital because of food poisoning that were caused by a drug. So I want every single one of you to give your urinal test and I will interrogate all of you. For those who's in the hospital, I'll go asked them personally."Mr Sin said before leaving. After making sure all of the teachers are gone, everyone started to panicked. "Macam mana ni! Kalau diaorangcheck urinekitaconfirmkantoi punya!"One of the KUDRAT's student, Jayden Tan said."Guys, guys! Chill."Naim tried to calm down everyone.
"Lagi pun bukannya kita tahu pun yang benda tu ada dalam minuman kita.High Council!Dia orang yang kenakan kita!"Jay said again."Tapi takkan kita nak jibam kot?"Another KUDRAT's student, Black said."Guys relax, kitakan budak KUDRAT, takkan nak jibam kot?"Naim smirked as he turned to Jane as if he were looking for her approval. The girl nodded, making the boy smile wider."Jom kencing dalam botol!"Naim announced making everyone cheered. "Kauseriousla, Jane. Kau tak takut ke?"Melur said as they walked out from the toilet."If things goes out of hand, then onlyaku masuk campur."Jane told the girl before place her urinal test tube into the basket and walked toward the principal room.
"Good morning, sir."She greeted Mr Sin who was sitting on Tuan Yusof's seat."Tell me Jane, what did you guys did during theKem Bulan Madu."He asked the girl."We went to the campsitedalam pukul 3 lebih."Jane started."Sampai je, kita orang terus pasang khemah. Tapi, ayam pasang sampai dah rupa macam reban dia."Fakhri told the warden."Ayam?"Mr Sin asked."Tak taulah cikgu kenapa diaorang panggil saya ayam. Dah lama dah daripadaForm 1sampai sekarang. Takut-takut sampai universiti dia orang panggil say-"Mr Sin cut off Ayam."Stop, stop. Back to the camp.Lepas tu apa korang buat?"Mr Sin asked."Solat berjemaah, baca ayat Yassin, mengaji... Hafal sifir"Hakeem told him as the boy were sitting on his hospital bed.
"Malam, kita orang makanbarbeque."Amir said."Aftermakan?"Asked Mr Sin."We sat around campfire."Prakash said with no expression."We played some games, singing, storytelling."Melur said as she moved her hands along while talking."Berzanji, tahajjud, qiamullail."Ariz said."Team buildinglepas tu,jungle trekking."Fakhri said with a smile."And what's wrong with your hand?"Mr Sin asked Naim as he saw the boy's bandaged hand. "Terjatuh masajungle trekking,malam saya tak nampak."Naim explained."Habis jejungle trekking, masok khemoh, tido dulusir."Kahar said with his Kelantanese accent. Mr sin looked at the boy."Then we woke up andkemas barangthenbalikdorm."Jane told him."Thank you, Jane. You may go now."Jane nodded at him as she excused herself before walking out of the room.
"Mr Sin, have you found out who did it yet?"Puan Faniza asked Mr Sin who was busy writing something on the whiteboard."Not yet. But I think the kids are lying."Mr Sin said without looking at her."What do you mean?"Puan Faniza asked again making the warden sighed."People lies, Puan Faniza but science don't. All of the test came out positive."Mr Sin said finally looking at Puan Faniza."Maybe they were not lying. Maybe they didn't knew that they were taking it."Puan Faniza said while looking at him. "Mr sin, what kind of drug is it?"She asked him."Grayanotoxin. It's psychoactive drug that could be obtained from a flower that is not found in Malaysia, meaning that someone had purposely brought it."He explained to her making the teacher realized something."Does the nectar produces substances?"Puan Faniza asked nervously."Theoretically, yes."Mr Sin nodded."I hope I'm wrong, butkem bulan 'madu'?"She slowly lifted up a book. Both of them looking at each other.
An exercise book was thrown on Encik Yusof's table."Did you drugged the whole Form 4 batch?" Mr Sin asked the owner of the book, Kahar. Puan Hamidah and Encik Yusof were watching the boy closely. The boy then given up and decided to admitted everything."I'm sorry butini dah kes berat.I need to call your parents."Puan hamidah nodded at Encik Yusof, signalling him to do so. After a while, the principal door were being pushed open, revealing a middle aged man with a cane in his hand walking in furiously."Dato' Abu Yamin, silakan duduk."Tuan Yusof said. Kahar were sitting there anxiously.
Without any warning, Kahar's father, Dato' Abu Yamin, slapped his son face rapidly."Aku tak pernah ajo mu main dadoh! Aku antar mu ngan abe-abemu sini nok suroh jadi ore. Abe-abemu jadi belako. Mu sore ni hah, nurun alik mano aku tak paham. Pasal hamla gak mu pilih. "He slapped him again."Dato', Dato' Abu Yamin. Dato' jangan risau, saya masih pertimbangkan lagi kes Kahar ni."Tuan Yusof tried to calm the furious man."Tak payah, Cikgu. Siasat belako macam biaso."Kahar's father shook his head toward Tuan Yusof's suggestion."Tapi Dato', ini memang kes polis."Tuan Yusof said again."Molek. Suruh polis tangkap mu."Dato' Abu Yamin glared at his youngest son."Menyusoh ke."He said before leaving the poor boy without looking back.
The door then were knocked and opened by the one and only, the head prefect of Seri Delima School."Tuan panggil saya?"Jane walked in a few second after Kahar's father left. Tuan Yusof nodded."Jane, saya perlukan bantuan awak untuk uruskan kes kawan awak ni. Saya dengar Puan Hamidah kata awak tahu apa yang hendak dilakukan."Jane sighed before nodded."Yes, I've handled a similar case before. Kahar, follow me please. Excuse us, sir."Jane said before going out of the principal room. "Aku dah cakap dah, jangan kantoi."Jane told the boy as he closed the principal's room's door. Both of them then started walking toward the Prefect Room.
"Aku tak sengaja... Manalah aku tahu balang tu nak pecah."Kahar tried to defend himself."B*doh. Lain kali, benda-benda macam tu, tak payah lah gatal sangat tangan tu nak bawa pergi sekolah. Dah masuk."She opened the door of the Prefect Room for the boy to enter first. "Yang aku tak paham, pahal aku pula yang kena handle?! Asal kes berat macam ni mesti muka aku je yang kena! Dia orang fikir aku ni apa?! Lawyer?! Polis?!"Jane flew into a rage after locking the door. She could clearly feel her pulse beating like mad."Kau ni pun satu! Asal b*doh sangat!?"She threw a cushion at the boy as hard as she could. The cushion hit the vase behind him as he dodge it.
"Tasha please ca-"He moved closer to her."DON'T CALL ME THAT!!!"Jane yelled before kicking the wall. "Oi! Sudahlah!"He ran to her and held her back."Sudahlah tu!You're going to hurt yourself!"He slapped her to made her stopped. Jane looked at him before her breathing going back to normal."S*al..."She took off her neck tie before sitting down on her seat. She took a deep breathe before looking at him."Duduklah."She smiled as she pointed at the chair in front of her. Kahar blinked a few time at the sudden change in the girl's behaviour."Tahun lepas, si Kiara, tahun ni engkau pulak. Urgh.... Orang nama mula dengan K ni memang problem ke?"Jane babbled alone as she took out her book.
"Sekarang ni aku nak kau pilih, kena buang sekolah dan rosakkan kedua-dua nama sekolah, atau kuasa kau, aku tarikfor some period of time, meaning for the time being, you'll be just the same as those normal student, orkau kena gantung dua minggubut you'll get a punishment from us, the EXCOs when you come back.Sopilih lah."Jane said as she unbutton the first button of her shirt."Berapa lama kau tarik kuasa aku?"The boy asked the obviously stressed girl."Sampai aku cakap yang aku nak bagi balik. Cepat pilih."She said in now a more stern voice."Gantung sekolah je lah..."Jane nodded before jot it down in her book.
"Yourpenggantungan akan bermulanext Monday so that means Sunday kau dah boleh kemas barang." The girl finally looked at the boy's face."Ayah kau pukul kau ke?"She asked with her facial expression turned in to worried as she noticed his busted lips."Relax, aku dah biasa."He chuckled sadly as the girl took out an ointment out from her bag."Sini."She ordered the boy. Kahar leaned in closer to the table. Jane squeezed out some ointment and softly applied it on his wounded lips and cheeks."Kau memang selalu bawa benda ni ke?"He asked as she continue to treated his wounds.
"Tak selalu. Only when I had practice. But now, I have to bring these all the time."Jane told the boy."Why?"He asked her as his eyes never leaving her face. "Sebab nak rawat jantan-jantan dan minah-minah macam kau ni lah. Aku tak paham lah dengan korang ni. Mesti je nak gaduh 24 jam. Bertumbuklah, kena tumbuklah. Ni tadi aku baru je tolong budakForm berapa entah lepas tu ada juga yang bergaduh lelaki dengan perempuan. Tak pasal-pasal dua-dua aku rawat lepas tu. Lepas tu aku tadi rawat si Fakhri punya tangan." The boy frowned as he heard her talking about the younger boy. "Sekarang ni aku tengah rawat Kapla yang telah dibantai oleh ayah dia. Kalau macam ni hari-hari, memang habis duit aku nak beli ubat setiap hari." Jane blurted everything out to him.
"Fakhri? Kenapa kau tolong dia? Bukan dia dah maki kau ke tadi."Kahar looked at the girl in displeased."Well, as a head prefect,bukankah itu tanggungjawabku untuk menjaga semua kebajikan pelajar? Nak tak nak, aku kena la tolong dia. Teruk jugak lah luka-luka dekat tangan dia tu. Sampai terkelupas kulit dekatfistsdia."Jane caressed the boy face before cleaning up her stuffs."Dah pergi balikdorm.Aku nak pergimeetingdengan cikgu-cikgu lagi ni, pasal kau punya kes ni."She got up and picked up the broken pieces of the vase. "Oi hati-hatilah! Tajam tu."Kahar got up and helped her."A glass cut won't kill me.Aku pernah kena lagi teruk."She said before she took a broom and started swiping the floor to get rid of the excess of the glass pieces."Kau keluar. Sekarang."She coldly told the boy who wanted to help her. He sighed before submitting to her order and left.
"Jane. Nasib baik aku bagi kau benda tu kan." Her elder friend, Hazreen suddenly said as they were chilling at their dorm after coming back from their night class. "Benda apa?" The youngest, Faneesha asked her. "Antidote. Kalau tak, memang teruk lah kau kena kali ni." Hazreen shook her head at the memories of last year's incident. "Wait! Kenapa kau bagi dia seorang je? Kau tak sayang aku ke Haz?" The long haired girl asked as she just recalled that she didn't consume any antidote. "Ada lah." Hazel answered on behalf of Hazreen. "Tak ada pun." Faneesha shook her head. "Habis tu pil putih yang aku bagi kau tu apa?" Hazreen asked as she was fed up with the girl.
"Pil putih?... Oh yang tu ke? Lah aku ingat tu gula-gula Eclipse." The younger embarrassedly laughed, making the elder rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Hm memang." Both of the elder girls sighed at the same time. "Aku tak ada pun?" Melur asked while pointing at herself as she also didn't recall getting any pills by them. "Kau punya, aku larutkan lepas tu letak dalam dadih yang kau makan semalam sebab aku tahu kau tak suka telan ubat." Hazel explained before gave the girl a thumbs up. "No wonder ada rasa lain sikit..." The girl nodded in understanding before turning her head to her spaced out best friend. "Kau lah, Jane? Jane? Tasha?" Melur called out for her but the girl had fell into her own world.
[Flashback]
A young girl who recently got the title of The Ruby of SERIMA, stood in front of all of the Form 4 students."Alright! Mengikutthe book of EXCO, we're now going to play the classic, Truth or Dare.Tapi, dia adaadditional rule."The girl, Jane said as she read the book in her hand."If you choose the truth but you lied, tentmatekorangwillterajang korang.Yes, we'll have everyone to justify it.Sama juga kalau korang pilihdare but you chicken out. So better choose wisely."She told the elder students before signalling her EXCO members to started distributing the jars."Alright let's start the game!"Jane announced while closing the book in her hand.
After a few dare were done and truths being told along with some students got kicked, it was finally time for Nathalie Paris, Nelly's turn. The girl put her hand in the Dare jar and reach out for one of the folded paper."Eat five honey cookies at one time without drinking any water."Nelly read her unfolded paper before snapping her head toward the Ruby."Gila ke? Dah lah benda ni kering nak mampus!"The elder girl complained as Faneesha brought a jar of cookies toward the girl."It just some small cookies.Takkan tak boleh buat?Also we haveteh maduif youtercekik."Jane told the elder girl in mocking tone.
"I'd rather be a chicken than die because of this dry a*s cookies."Nelly pushed away the jar."Well then."Jane smile before signalling Nelly's tentmate to kicked the girl. They then moved on to the next person. Jane smiled in satisfaction after the last person did their dare."Alright, that's the en-"The girl got cut off by someone."Wait! Aren't you going to play along, Ruby?"It was Nelly again. The younger looked at her in confusion."Hah?There's nothing mentioned in here about me joining in this game."Jane said while holding up the book that she had never let go off."Oh come on. Just do it for fun or are you afraid, Ruby?"Nelly chuckled mockingly.
Jane went toward the elder girl and stood in front of her."Aku tak takut lah s*al."The younger bent down to match the elder's eye level."Then, pick a dare."Nelly smiled as she also didn't back away from the eye contact."Kau jangan nak kurang ajar, Nelly!"Faneesha was about to attack the girl when Jane turned and smile at her, instantly stopping her. "It's okay. Dareje pun."Jane said before inserting her hand into the jar full of dare papers. She took one of the folded paper without think about it too much."Stay under the waterfall for five minutes. Easy."The girl scoffed as she put the paper inside of a container that they use to place the used papers.
"Alright let's go there then."Nelly said making everyone getting up from their places. The girls went to their school waterfall and watch their Ruby stripping off her outwear clothes. Everyone had their torchlight out to help brighten the place for the girl. Jane was now left with her short sleeves t-shirt and a knee length short."Mel, time me."Jane said while passing her phone toward her best friend. The girl did some stretches before going toward the rushing waterfall. "Please be save."Melur told the girl as Jane swam her way toward the waterfall. She then climbed up to one of the rock that was exactly under the falling water.
"Okay! Three, two, one!"At her commanded, Melur pressed start on the timer as Jane sat down under the rushing water. "Ah sakit s*al..."The girl tried to calm herself from the pain from the water hitting her back harshly. Soon enough, the girl got used to it and finally was able to relax herself. After awhile, her time was almost up. Melur looked down to her phone before showing it to the elder girl next to her."Neesh, sediakan tuala."Hazreen ordered the younger girl who was crouching beside her. faneesha nodded her head and left to get the towel. "Time's up, Jane!"Melur yelled as the timer going off but the girl couldn't really hear her due to the loud splashing noises around her.
"TASHA!"The girl yelled again. Jane finally opened her eyes and saw her friends were waving at her."Dah habis ke? Macam dah."The girl shrugged before diving in the water. As she was about to swim away, she heard a familiar voice calling out for her. Jane turned around and saw her mother standing on one of the dry stone.Mama? The girl questioned herself as she saw her 'mother'."Tasha..."Her mother called out her name. As if she was being hypnotized, the girl got closer to her."Mama?What are you doing here?"Jane asked the middle age woman that was wearing a white 'Kebaya' dress.
"Kenapa Tasha buat mama macam ni?"Her mother asked the girl with a sad voice. The girl rubbed her eyes as she tried to look closer to the figure."Eh, japyou're not my real mother. Why would she be here?"As the girl said it, her mother face dropped."Ah s*al...I can't tell if you're my hallucination or some ghost sh*t..."She then stopped swimming toward her mother after realizing it wasn't the real one."Kenapa Tasha cakap macam tu? Ini mama, sayang."Her mother tried to convince her."Argh kepala aku sakitlah s*al...F*ck it,I give up..."The girl said as she turned to swim back to the land but suddenly she felt like there was something holding on her ankle.
"Ah sh*t... Apa hal pula ni?"She tried to free herself but there's no used of it. "Haz! T-tolong!"The girl struggled to keep herself up. No matter how hard she tried, the thing won't let go of her ankle. Eventually, she lost most of her energy and stopped struggling. As the girl slowly sinking into the water, she saw a figure that looks like a guy jumping into the water to save her.Huh? Where did this guy came from? Jane asked herself as she could feel herself being dragged back to the land."-sha! Tasha!"A voice was calling out for her.
Jane managed to open her eyes a bit and saw a glimpse of a guy looking down to her with a worried expression on his face. Who is this guy? I've never saw him before... The girl asked herself as she trying to stay awake. "Tasha! Bangun lah!"Another voice called out for her desperately. Suddenly the male figure turned into her best friend as she regained back her vision. Oh it's just Melur... The girl chuckled before passing out. The first thing she saw when she finally woke up was a blinding light above her. Jane sat up and realize that she was at the hospital, with an IV drop attached to her hand.
[End of flashback]
"Oi, Jane!" A voice snapped the girl out of her thought. "Huh? Apa?" Jane asked as she saw her friends were staring at her. "Kau okay ke?" Hazel asked while placing the back of her hand onto the girl's forehead. The younger pushed her hand away as she gave them a confused look. "I'm alright. What's wrong?" Upon hearing the girl, all four of them just shook their heads before focusing back to the screen in front of them. They all finished the movie before getting ready to go to their beds. "Jane." Their eldest one, Hazreen called out for her as she stood next to her bed. "Whatever happened, it's not your fault." She whispered to the younger then walking back to her bed. "Aku tahu..." Jane closed her eyes before trying to get some sleep.
[Time skips to the next day]
"Wei Jane, betul ke kahar kena gantung?"Ayam asked the girl as he sat down in front of her and Melur."Yeah.Pihak sekolahdecided to give him a second chance but in return, he'll get a punishment inSERIMA's way."Jane said as she bit into her onde-onde."Eh kau ni memang suka makan kuih tu je ke?"Ayam asked her. Jane nodded before continuing enjoying her kuih."Wei Melur, kawan kau ni memang takde kuih lain ke yang dia makan."Ayam turned to asked Melur."It's a phase.tunggulah nanti,after she got bored of it, she'll find a new food to be obsessed with."Ayam nodded before they heard a sound of a tray being thrown away."Kau nak sangat kan s*al?!Okaymalam ni jugak kita lawan!"Fakhri yelled at Kahar who was standing in front of him while playing with his tongue.
"Cantik."Kahar then walked away toward Jane's table and slammed his hands on the table."Permission to held a manifesto session, Ruby."Jane nodded as she gave him the permission."Meet me atdewan lama Seri Delima,next to the wing B building. 3 in the evening.. sharp."Kahar nodded before took one of her onde-onde and ate them as he walked away. "Kuih aku...Mel prepare thedewanfor this evening show.Kita adasparringsikit."Jane winked at Melur before got up and left."Got it, Ruby."She smirked before finishing of her food and also left the table leaving Ayam alone there dumbfounded."What the f*ck was that?"He shook his head before continue eating his food.
That evening, all Form 4 and 5 students from both school were allowed to watch the manifesto session."Oi buka. Buka."Jane said as she watch them from the middle of the stage stairs. She stood there with all of her EXCO's members. Everyone started to surrounds the two boys in the middle of the small hall leaving a space for the EXCOs to watch the fight."Okay sobefore we start, the rules are the same.Jangan main muka, janganattack genitals or any visible spot. Your opponent will get to attack first if you broke the rules.Faham?"Jane said while looking at the two shirtless boys in front of her.
"Okay then. Sesi restuHigh Council,Rumah Kasturi, 3, 2, 1!"Both of the boy ran toward each other as both of them releasing their punches at the same time. Kahar dashed toward the younger and kicked his side. Fakhri held his side before grabbing the elder's leg making Kahar lost his balance and fell to the ground. Fahkri quickly locked the elder leg in between his thighs. Kahar hit the boy's arms before freeing himself out from his grasp. "So, who do you guys think will win?"Melur asked the EXCOs who were sitting down on the stairs."Kahar."Faneesha and Hazel answered at the same time before fistbump each other. "No, I think it's Fakhri." Hazreen said with eyes never leaving the two boys.
"Boo! We are team Kahar!" Faneesha said making the elder girl rolled her eyes as she was focusing on the fight. "Jane? What do you think?" Melur asked the girl next to her. "None of them." Jane said while smiling at her. "What do you mean?" Faneesha asked before the hall door forcefully being opened. "What is going on here?!" The warden's loud voice filled up the now quiet hall."Kan aku dah cakap..."Jane said before she got up from the stairs and walked toward the warden."Oh, Mr Sin, what are you doing here?"The girl asked."I wasmerondaand saw that half of the upperform students are gone! What are you all doing here?!"Mr Sin asked in a stern voice.
"Nothing, sir. They were sparring for thepemilihanof the athleterumah sukanforsukan tahunannext month."Jane casually told the elder man. "For whatacarato exact?"He pointed at the boys."Boxing. Here inSERIMA, besides track and field, we also do combat sports. Like silat, taekwondo, judo, and boxing.Yelah kamikan perempuansir, mestilah nak kena pandaidefending ourselves."Jane said before showing him a list of names."Is that why they are in full protective gears?"Mr Sin asked her. "Yes, we don't want any bad injuries to happen."She smiled at the warden."All right. You can continue, butjangan sampai ada yang cedera teruk." He warned them before leaving.
Janewatched at the door and was closed before turning around to the upperform students."Uish, nasib sempat kita pasangkan dia orang ni kan, Mel?"Faneesha said to the girl next to her. Melur hummed in reply. Jane walked back to the stage."Sambunglah.In 3, 2, 1!"She blew a whistle that she took out of her pocket randomly. The fight continued. "Mel,it looks like we need tosukan awal tahun ni."Jane told Melur, making the girl sigh before taking out her notebook and jotting it down."Eh, why?It's not even midtermkot."Faneesha said."To make it more plausible lah b*doh. Kau ingat Mr Sin tu takkan tanya cikgu lain ke hah?!" Jane rubbed her temples before turning to her best friend.
"Mel, kau jaga. Aku nak balik dorm. Takde mood aku nak tengok." Jane said before leaving the hall."Pahal minah tu?"Faneesha asked inadispleased tone."Kau ni macamlah baru jumpa si Jane tu. Kita ni hampir kantoi kot. Mana tak mengamuknya budak tu."Hazel said while watching the fight. The fight ends with Kahar tapping out, leaving everyone in shock. Fakhri let go of the elder and turned his face to Melur."Umumlah s*al..."Melur sighed before standing up."Calon rumah kasturi, direstui!"She announced, making everyone in the room cheering for Fakhri. The high Councils' members pulled Kahar to the side and took off his head gear.
"Kau, okay?"Hakeem asked him. He nodded as he tried to catch his breath. The EXCOs went to him, and Melur handed Hakeem a first aid kit box. "Nah,treat his wounds. Nanti bagi balik."Melur said before leading everyone to leave the hall."Are you okay?"Hazel asked the boy."Akuokay... Mana Jane?"The curly haired boy asked as Hakeem cleaned up his wounds."Dah balik. Kenapa? Rindu?"Hazreen asked in a teasing manner."M-mana ada. DiakanRubymestilah yanghandlebenda macam ni..."Kaharanswered while avoiding eye contact with her."Apa-apa je lah. Dah blah, kami nak kemas tempat ni."Hazreen told the four boys before she went to help the others. "Kau suka Jane, eh?"Hakeem teased him."Mana ada. Dahlah jum balikdorm. Kau sambung dekat dalam dorm."He said before wearing his clothes back and leaving his friends behind.
"Wah, kapla kita dah jatuh cinta."Hakeem said again, earning a soft punch from Kahar."Diam."The boy said as he fastened his pace. Hakeem continued to treat the boy's wounds when they were back in their dorm. "Akurespectdoh, si Jane tu. Macam tu je diacame up with a lie.Ni kalau dibuatkan jadi bini, memang susah nak menang kalau gaduh ni."Hakeem suddenly said as all of them were just chilling as they were waiting for night class."Kau nak kahwin dengan dia ke, Keem?"Fahmi asked the boy."Boleh je, dia cantik apa. Tapi tulah dia tadi, kapla kita dah cop dia awal-awal dah."The boy said toward the spaced out boy."Teruk benor budak ni. Oi Kahar!"Hakeem hit they boy's back, making the boy startled."S*ial lah kau ni Keem."Hakeem laughed before grabbing his bag."Jomlah turun pergi prep."With that, all of them got off their bed and went to the night class.
[Next day, during their monthly assembly]
Tuan Yusof just finished his speech, which means it was Jane's turn to go up to the stage. She did her usual introduction."Bagi pengetahuan pelajar sekalian, hari ini kita akan mengadakan perjumpaan rumah sukan yang pertama sekaligus dengan sesi pemilihan wakil rumah sukan, anda boleh rujuk pada senarai nama yang telah ditampal pada papan notis dekat depan bilik kokurikulum. Diingatkan lagi, bagi yang hendak mengikuti acaratrack and field, anda boleh pergi ke padang sekolah setelah selesai perjumpaan rumah sukan, sama juga dengan yang hendak mengikuti acaracombats, sila pergi kegym hall setelah selesai perjumpaan rumah sukan anda." The head prefect said.
"Anda hanya boleh pilih satu sahaja, track and field or combat sports.Untuk pelajar rumahHeliodor,pemilihancombat sports athletedan perjumpaanakan diadakan dekat dewan Seri Delima 1."She continued with a bit more about maintaining the school reputation by taking care of their discipline. "Sebelum saya mengundur diri, anda sekali lagi diingatkan agar menjaga disiplin anda untuk menjaga nama baik sekolah kita. Jika ada sebarang masalah, jangan takut untuk laporkan kepada saya ataupun para pengawas yang lain. Sekian, terima kasih."She smiled before walking down the stairs and sat down on her seat.
"Ha, kan senang kerja kalau kau sediakan speech kau awal-awal."Melur teased the girl. Jane glared at her before shaking her head."Kau memang s*al."Jane stated, making the other girl laugh. Jane shushed her before focusing on the ceremony. "SoJane,whykita tak bolehjoin both track and field, and combat sports?"Ayam asked her as they went back to their class."Oh, because we all alwaysjalankanboth of themserentak. Sukanwill be held fordua hari, pembukaan dengan acaralowerform on first day. Second day,acara upperformandpenutupan sekali dengan pengumuman johan."Jane told the boy as she took out her book out of her desk.
"Cooljuga eh sekolah korang ni, siap adacombat sports."Ayam flattered their school."Takdelah,combat sportstu kita orang baru tambah masa kitaForm 2kalau tak silap aku. Untuk bagi peluang dekat budak-budak dekat sini belasah orang dengan cara yanglegal."She said nonchalantly making Ayam gasped."Gila lah korang ni!"He said as he hit her arm rapidly."Biase-biase je bang."She chuckled as the boy complimented them.
Later that day, the school ended earlier and gave them more time to do the sport house's meeting. The EXCO members were getting ready in their dorm."Jane, Mel, korang masuk silat lagi?"Faneesha said them as she was tidying up her hair."Yeah,tapi akujoin Boxingsekali. Jane, diajoin Taekwondo. Alang-alang cikgu dah bagi kitagreenlightuntukjoinlebih dari satu acara kan?"Melur smirked, making the girl shook her head."Korang dua ni memang gila. Sumpah aku cakap. Eh,by the way,aku nakjointulah, yang acara baru tu.Gymnasticberirama.Finally, ada juga acara tu. Lama tau aku tunggu dari akuForm 1lagi."Faneesha said as she was indeed a rhythmic gymnastic athlete.
"Eh dah tak nakjoinJudo ke?"Jane asked the girl."Mane ade,Judo still number one in my heart. Like what you said earlier,kitakan dapatjoin more than oneacara, maka akan ku ambil peluang yang telah diberikan."Faneesha said as if she's a poetry making all four of his friends rolled their eyes at her."Korang? Seni lagi?"Melur asked their older friends."Of course,piala tu confirm milik kita orang lagi.Gonna make it three years in a row, baby."Hazel smirked before fistbumbing with Hazreen."Dahlah, jum gerak."Jane said after she finished fixing her hijab. She grabbed her bag and walked out of their dorm.
"PERJUMPAAN RUMAH SUKAN AKAN BERMULA DALAM MASA DUA PULUH MINIT! SILA BEREDAR KELUAR DARI DORM MASING-MASING DENGAN SECEPAT YANG MUNGKIN DAN PERGI KE TEMPAT PERJUMPAAN RUMAH ANDA!"Jane announced through a megaphone. "Wei, aku tak sabar sia. Tapi yang aku pelik, kenapa rumah merah takde eh? Bukan tu warna wajib ke?"Hakeem asked the curly-haired boy next to him as they were in their way to their sport houses meeting."Bukan merah tu untuk Ruby and The EXCOs ke?Maybesebab tu dia orang tak ada rumah merah?"Fahmi said, making the other nodded their heads.
"Wei Kahar, kau rumah apa?"Zahrin asked the boy."Sama dengan Hakeem,heliodorke ape entah nama dia. Rumah kuning la yang pastinya."Kahar told his friends. "Eh bukan Jane pun rumah tu ke? Takde tadi aku saje-saje nak tengok senarai nama kelas lain pastu aku tengok dia pun rumah tu."Zahrin said making Hakeem excited."Wei Kahar memang berjodohan lah korang ni!"The boy said excitedly, earning a slap on his back by Kahar."Diam. Dahlah, kita orang pergi dulu."Kahar said to his other two friends while walking toward the meeting place for his sport house.
As they reached at the old hall that they used for his manifesto with Fakhri yesterday, there was Jane was sitting on the stage along with some other upperform students. "Good evening everyone, I'm Randall Samuel and I'll be your pengerusi this year." Randall said as he walked up to the middle of the stage. "Here we have, Natasha Janet asnaib pengerusi, Juliana HongassetiausahaandMohammad Rashidas ourbendahari.Now I want each of you to send awakilto take these papers then write down your names and class. Am I clear?"Randall asked everyone."Yes!"Everyone answered.
Randall passed a paper toward a Form 5 student and made an eye contact with Kahar. He smiled at the curly-haired before walking back to the stage. From afar, Kahar saw the boy whispered something into Jane's ear that made the girl laughed while looking at his direction."Apahal tu?"Kahar whispered to himself."Ape bende?"Hakeem asked the boy after he finished wrote his name and class. Kahar shook his head before taking the paper. After everyone had written their names and classes on the paper of their own batch. Randall stood on the stage again.
"Okay, next we're going to divide you guys into three sections. Track and field athletes, combat athletes andperbarisan.So track and fieldikut Abang RashidandKak Juliana, perbarisan ikut Abang Khai dan Kak Nisa pergi dataranand combats along with thoseyang nakjoin gymnastic, stays here withKak Janeand me."Randall said."Whatacarayou wanna join this year?"Randall asked Jane who was busy making a line to make a few column to make a list."Probably Silat and Taekwondo."The boy nodded at her answer as he watch as the leftover students were lining up in front of them.
"Tak susah ke,younakdifferentiate both martial arts?Kanboth of them are different."Randall said as he took a seat next to her."Practice make perfect.Aku belajar dari kecilso it's not that hard."Jane said as she finally look up from the papers."Name, class, combat sport and bodyweight.Rand, ada penimbang tak dekat situ?"She asked the boy while pointing somewhere. He looked for it and found aweighing scale."Nah."He gave her."Satu je?"He nodded at her making the girl sigh."Tch mesti dia orang dah ambil awal ni..."She whispered to herself."Hm? Did you say something?"The boy asked her. She shook her head and got up.
"Assalamualaikum dan selamat petang.Firstly, I want you guys to sit according to youracara. Silat sini, Boxing, JudoandTaekwondo.Gymnasticduduk hujung sekali.Next, I want you to fill up this list and take your weight measurement.Pastu tunggu sampai kita habis.Form 1dulu."Jane said as she signalled the students to get up."Eh, Kahar?You're here too?Nak ikut silat ke?"Jane said as she were walking around the hall and stopped at the curly-haired. The boy nodded."Hm, aku malas nak ambil acara lain."She nodded before sitting next to him."Hakeem mana?"Jane asked.
"Dia masuk perbarisan. Dia nakperform, entahlah dia tu. Macam-macam..."Kahar said as he write his name in the Form 5 paper."Biarlah dia, mana tahu dia nak jadicheerleader."Jane cracked a joke. Both of them then fell into laughters."Okaylah, aku nak pergihandlebudakgymnasticdulu. Nanti tunggu aku tau!Bye!"She smiled at him before leaving the boy. Kahar waved at her a little before he hugged his knees while waiting for his turn. "Baiklah, terima kasih kepada semua yang hadir.Remember, on Monday we'll have Silat practice here, Judo on Tuesday, Taekwondo on Wednesday, Gymnastic on Thursday and Boxing on Friday.Jangan lupa datang. Kalau tak,korang takkan kena pilih untuk jadiwakil rumah sukan.You may leave now, have a nice day!"Randall said as it was the end of the meeting. He went to Jane as everyone was leaving.
"Jane, prep nantiyouturun tak?"The boy asked her. She nodded in reply."Why?"Randall smiled widely."AjarkanIchapter Light and Optics."Jane looked at him before apologizing."Physics? You should ask Melur. She's better than me in explaining those. Okaylah, aku balik dulu.Bye, Rand!"She collected her stuffs before going to toward Kahar who had been waiting for her at the entrance."Bye..."The boy replied even though he knew she couldn't heard him.The girl went toward Kahar and walked next to him."Seriouslah kau nakjoinsilat olahraga? Luka tu pun tak sembuh lagi."She asked as she pointed at the corner of his lips.
"Ish kau ni. Aku kan anak jantan. Sakit sikit je ni."He said as he patted his left chest making the girl rolled her eyes in annoyance."Anak jantanor not, you are still a human. There must be a limit of how much our body could take the pain.Kita ni bukanTerminator."She reminded him."Baiklah,Ruby."Kahar jokingly slatuted her making her punched his arm softly."S*al lah kau ni."She laughed before looking away. "Ha!Dating!"Hakeem jumped out from behind them. Both of them jumped in surprised."Eh, b*dohlah kau ni, Keem."Kahar hit the shorter boy's nape, while Jane shook her head at the boy's behaviour.
"Dapatlah kau jadicheerleader, Hakeem?"Jane asked the boy. Hakeem pushed Kahar away and stood next to Jane."Mestilah,this is Hakeem Rizal bin Hilmikot."Hakeem said while hepuffed up his chest."Congrats Keemkeem."She gave him a thumb up."Thanks my bestie, Tatasha."He gave her miniloves. Kahar looked at both of them weirdly."Sejak bila korang dua rapat ni?"The curly-haired boy asked."Dah lama dah, kau je yang tak tau. Tulah, asal nampak Jane, mesti angau. Lain kali, peka dengan persekitaran anda, Encik Abdul Kahar."Hakeem told the boy as his ears getting redder.
"Mana ada aku angau! Dahlah! Jumpa esok!"Kahar quickly ran inside of the boys' dormitory."Malulah tu. Dahlah, Keemkeem nak masuk dulu. Tata, Tasha!"Hakeem waved goodbye at the girl."Bye, Keem..."She said before walking toward the girls' dormitory entrance. "Oi! Balik dengan jantan nampak."Melur said as she put her arm around Jane's shoulders."Tch,bukan selalu.So, what class? I'm an E."Jane said."Seriously? You managed to maintain your weight for the whole year?Aku naik gila!I'm a D now!"Melur laughed excitedly as they climbed up the stairs to go back to their dorm.
"Kau ingat senang ke nakmaintain my body weighthuh? Ni time hari sukan nanti, aku harap tak lebih dan tak kurang. Kalau tak, melepaslah aku nampaknya."Jane said before taking her towel from the towel rack after throwing her bag on her bed.Both of them then went to take a shower before coming back to their dorm. "Sini aku keringkan rambut kau."Jane said as she sat on the couch. Melur sat in front of her before passing a hairdryer at the girl."Mana minahgymnastic?"Hazreen asked as she and Hazel walked in the room."Masih main denganribbondia kali."Melur chuckled at Jane's comment.
Suddenly their door were forcedly open. "S*AL! S*AL! S*AL PUNYA BETINA!"Faneesha walked in furiously before slamming her stuffs down her bed."KORANG TAU TAK!I HATE NELLY SO F*CKING MUCH! WHY AM I THE SUB ATHLETE WHILE THAT B*TCH IS THE MAIN?!AKU?! AKU?! DALIYANA FANEESHA?!IS THE SUB?!"Faneesha yelled while stomping her feet angrily."Perempuan s*al tu, dahlah kayu! Dasar Normand gatal nak mampus!"She continued to curse Nelly and now their coach, Mr Normand."I knowlahshe got that ideal body figure but SHE GOT NO DAMN TALENT!!!"Faneesha yelled again. Luckily, their dorm were the only one on that floor.
"Sayang, cuba bawa bertenang lepas tu ceritakanlah kepada kami."Melur tried to calm the girl down. Faneesha took a deep breath before joining the other at their couch."I'll tell you what,tadi masa pemilihanathlete gymnastic, obviously we need to show off our skills, which I slayed it. But then that b*tch! She stole my routine!Sebijik pulak tu! Lepas tu Normand s*al tu letak dia sebagaimain while me,jadithe sub!Benci betullah! Jane, jom ajar diaorang."Faneesha looked at Jane with her smile that slowly turning into a psychotic smile.Jane chuckled before turning off the hairdryer. "Kau pergi mandi dulu. Nanti aku fikirkan okay?"Jane said as she puffed up Melur's hair.
Faneesha nodded before going to their bathroom."Kau nak buat apa, Jane?"Hazel asked as she took off her hair tie and was getting ready to take a shower."Nothing. Kalau dah nak sampai hari sukan,still no changes, then I'll do something."The girl smiled at her olders. Both Hazel and Hazreen looked at each other before shaking their head."Don't over do."Hazreen warned her before going out to their bathroom along with Hazel."Kau nak buat apa?"Melur as she looked up to the girl."Melur, nak buat apa?"Jane smirked as she caressing the girl's head. Melur snickered before taking out her phone and started scrolling through her Instagram.
[Next day, at dining hall during recess]
"Ugh look at that stupid face!"Faneesha annoyedly groaned as she looked at the girl she despise the most at the moment."Neesh, language.Kita tengah makan ni."Hazreen warned the girl."S*al..."Faneesha cursed before stuffing her food into her mouth."Relax, Neesha, I'm sure you'll get the main spotnan-"Jane's words were cut off by a loud voice yelling her name."JANET!!"All of the EXCOs turned their heads toward the person and saw it was one of the KUDRAT student. The boy dashed toward their table and grabbed on Jane's arm to pull her up.
"Engkau yang rampasvapeaku kan?!"The boy pushed her shoulder."Yes and?"Jane answered the boy in bored tone."Aku ada lesen kot! Asal kau rampas!?"The boy yelled at her again."You brought it to school.Aku dah cakap, lesen tuvaliddekat asrama je. Dekat sekolah, ikutrulessekolah."Jane said as she trying not to burst out in anger at the moment."Kau memang sia-"Someone stopped the boy from hitting Jane by holding his arm. The person stood in front of Jane in a way to protect her.
"Kau pahal s*al?!..."
