Today marks 2 years of my amazing Marriott journey and one thing I really liked since I began my purpose here is that I was welcomed by the team, supported by my colleagus and managers and last but not least, I had the opportunity to grow and develop or become the best version of myself by continuously learning new things and embracing different career pathways that provide me with expanding my horizons and reaching new limits. I will own and gift my mom a Marriott Hotel. .January 20, 2013 - That’s when that picture was taken. .I had just come back from my mom’s job holiday party at a Courtyard Marriott Downtown Newark. That night I said the phase “I will own and gift my mom (a housekeeper at a Marriott) a Marriott hotel”. Pretty crazy for a 17-year-old who had been in the country for about six months. 🙃🙃🙃 .Fast forward to eleven years later - Here I am, already submitted an LOI on my first MARRIOTT BRAND HOTELS. 😮😮😮 talking about full- life circle. Whether my LOI will get accepted or not, is still a major step into fulfilling this GOAL..Oftentimes, we get discouraged when a dream takes too long to become reality. Could it be that we fail to take the necessary steps to turn that dream into the reality we envision? It’s like one of my favorite Bible verse says: “FAITH without WORK is DEAD” James 2:26 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ The work MAY and definitely WILL be hard but best believe, it is worthy..Let’s revisit our younger selves, and I am POSITIVELY positive, we would find a dream we didn’t further pursue. Whether because we didn’t do the work, or out of fear of the unknown. .What DREAMS have YOU left unfulfilled? Let’s share and support each other. .#aischallenge
